Borax is a trade name
Try the chemical name "sodium borate"

Ah. That's what I want. Thanks for the clarification.

Looking for Borax. Is this something I can buy at a pharmacy?

If not, where does one find a small quantity (a teaspoon)?

Supermarket. Laundry section. "20-Mule Team Borax."

If you live in the US of A it can be found in any laundry section of the
super maket. It also can be found at hobby shops that sell "geology kits".
Any secondary school or
university would have some in their chemistry lab any where in the world and
I'm sure would let you have a little
if you ask.
Check for the 20 mule team site on the web if you live outside of N.
America.
