Hey pepole,
I wanna do some project related to chemical engineering....am from
Coimbatore in India...am game to travel anywhere for it...i've got good
industrial exposure too... any suggestions ??? |

what kind of experience do you have? Try careerbuilder.com. There are
*TONS* of jobs. You can also search for internships. Another very
powerful strategy is to go to grad school. First - pick a topic that is
recieving a lot of attention (i.e funding - e.g. fuel cells,
nanoanything, bio-anything). FInd a professor that's getting a lot of
funding and see if you can go work for him. All of this assumes you
have outstanding grades. If not - look for lesser known schools.
These schools will have profs that will accept practically anyone. They
will see you as cheap labor. Just b/c its not a top teir school does
not mean it will not get good funding. A good strategy here is to pick a
big company and find what cities the plants are in. The universities/colleges
nearby will likely have some sort of collaboration with them.
All of this advice is from someone who went through the routine and now
looking back - I wish someone gave me hints like this.

Thanks for all that info...i've got pretty good grades....something
bout 9.7 on 10.....and as with the experience, i went on training at
indian petrochemicals (IPCL) and Orchid chemicals....can you provide me
more info as with the internship thing...how do i contact the
proffesors ? |

You can try to come to Belgium for an intership in a research center
for steel, they need a lot of chemical engeneers, check the website:
