Qualitative determination of Cr III on steel plates

Hello,

I am working in a research center of steel solutions on toxicology. I
was busy with method developement of Cr III and Cr VI separation in
solutions. Now I have to find a solution for qualitative determination
of Cr III on steel paltes. For the Cr VI there exist a method (ISO
3613) based on DPC solution (you put 1 drop of DPC on a chromatated
steel plate and if Cr VI is present you have a red-violet color on the
plate), a similar method I have to develop for Cr III. Does enyboday
have any sugestions?
