Greetings,

Does anyone have a setup file for CoolEdit 2000 that they could email
me? I bought this software years ago, but my computer crashed
recently, and I lost this file. I still, however, have the
registration file, so I could still recover full (legitimate) use of
the software. The file was once available to anyone for free download,
with limited feature use, until you bought the registration key, which
I did. (I think the file is called something like ce2000setup.exe.)
Syntrillium, the company that wrote this software, was bought out by
Adobe, and this product has been discontinued. I'd appreciate it if
anyone could take the time to send me this setup file.

Best regards,
Tom

Here's a site that appears to have it:

http://downloads.theregister.co.uk/Windows/Music/AudioComposers/cool-edit.html

The file is ce2kmain.exe, a bit over 8 MB. I found the site via
googling. Annoying how Adobe clobbered every site that used to carry
it as shareware. I downloaded it for for archival purposes. (I think
I tried it once, but liked Cool Edit 96 a lot more.) Let me know if
Adobe clobbers that site before you get to it.

Hi Ken,

Thanks. I made a bee line to the site and got it all running again
before Adobe was any wiser. I like this software, though I haven't
tried the earlier version.

Best regards,
Tom
