Could SZn be used as paint, mixed in some clear base to be applied onto
walls to provide some glow from its luminiscent properties ? Has it
been done ? Or is there better/cheaper ways ?

Google
"phosphorescent pigments" 989 hits
"phosphorescent pigments" "zinc sulfide" 124 hits

Show some personal endeavor. At least be objectively more competent
than the idiots that voluably post 95% of the traffic in sci.chem

There is more to ZnS than ZnS. The optical properties are strongly affected

by ho perfect the crystal structure is. That includes doping impurity.

It is used in paint. I like the name of this site--"Bozzle" Smile
http://www.bozzle.com/i_GlossaryXYZ.html
"Zinc Sulphide. Mixed with barium sulphate to produce Lithopone. Used in
cheap white paints."

what do you mean by 'glow'. 'Black light' effects?

or just 'highly reflective' enamel effect?
