Hi All,

Please excuse the ignorance of a newbie here. Is there a hole in this
theory:

It can never be proven that this sentence is true.

Many Thanks!!

As long as it has a peiod after it, it's a sentence, true or not.

You need to define 'true' first.

You need to define 'true' first.

I don't think so - "True" is a simple Boolean value, the opposite
of False. Anything else is a misuse of the word.

You might however need to define "proven".

it doesn't matter because the statement is not a theory so the basic
challenge is flawed from the start.

Okay, let's call it a statement. Can you disprove it?

if its a statement then why bother on this group, this is a theories

group... take it to a philosophy group where they know about abstract, or is
it obtuse, stuff like that.

This is paradox.

If the sentence were proven to be true it were not true any more, and
vice versa.
