Hi:

Will the following two cases have the same wave pattern?

1) wave pattern generated by a parallel wave pass through a hole on an
infinitely large wall

parallel to the wave fronts of the parallel wave

2) wave pattern generated by a wave emiter of the same geometry of the hole
in 1)
