Hi.

I am reading a handful of articles referring to the Estimation
Maximation algorithm (some call it the expectation maximation algorithm)
or EM for short. There are no references to any litterature on this
algorithm in my articles. Does anyone out there know about any books or
introductions to the subject?

It's Expectation-Maximization. Google for "EM algorithm".
