Have you included x=0 in the plotting range? Start at a larger
x.

You didn't say you are using Maple, I assume you are...
?plot
will provide the help page for the plot command, in particular
it will show you the syntax for it...
How about this:
plot(ln(x),x=0..5,y=5..5);
