looking for Charger recommendations
|
|
|
hi,
I've got some new AAA rechargables from Energizer,
and i'm not happy with my current, very old, charger.
The charge seems weak,
although i will need to charge them a few more times,
to be sure i'm not charging them incorrectly.
The only 2 options are Alkaline & Nickle Cadmium,
and these are a newer type, i believe
Can someone recommend a charger for these
"latest" technology 900 mAh batteries?
thanks

follow up question:
i see a charger adverstised that says: Battery Capacity: 600 mAh,
and my batteries are rated at 900 mAh
does this mean i wouldn't get a full charge,
with this charger?
thanks

I've got a 4 independent channel charger for $20 from harbor freight that seems
to work quite well. It handles 1-4 AAA-D sizes plus 9V NiCd and NIMH
(it does NOT do alkaline, but who cares these days....).

You will get a full charge if the charger runs long enough. The catch
is that some chargers have a timer to prevent overcharge and that
prevents fully charging batteries much larger (in capacity) than the
charger was designed for. You'll have to look at the detailed specs
for the charger or get the model number and Google for info because no
one can tell just from the info above. |

How smart is this? I have some cells that don't seem to have the
capacity of other cells in a batch.
Since I have a HF store near me, I'll scope it out.
