Hi Mike, You wrote:

I just know I'll be sorry I asked, but " what the hell is negative heat ? "

A Bose-Einstein ( laser ) system's population inversion
has negative Kelvins. Here's the quote:

Since we started with over half the atoms in the spin-down state,
initially this drives the system towards a 50/50 mixture,
so the entropy is _Increasing_ [ dissipated energy ],
corresponding to a positive temperature.
However, at some point more than half of the spins are in
the spin-up position. In this case, adding additional energy
_Reduces_ the entropy [ accumulated energy ]
since it moves the system further from a 50/50 mixture.
This reduction in entropy with the addition of energy
corresponds to a negative temperature.
This phenomenon can also be observed in many lasing systems,
wherein a large fraction of the system's atoms
( for chemical and gas lasers ) or electrons ( in semi-conductor lasers )
are in excited states. This is referred to as a population inversion.
__ WikiPedia.ORG/wiki/Negative_temperature

P.S. To hate entroy is to hate yourself,
for 'twas entropy that created everything, inclusing yourself.
Zoom out a bit, and you can see evolution... you're related to apes.
Zoom out a bit more and you see that you're like a lit match,
where consumption ( entropy, dissipation ) creates/destroys all that is.
Entropy is the God of Gods.

But, the only reason you hate it, is because the
moron Lord Kelvins of electron Toaster-ville had to invent
the
zeroth law of thermodynacis to prove the second law of
thermodynamics.

Quote:
2. Entropy

That's because entropy is only an entrity in the
retraded minds of mathematicians, complex numbers,
AT&T, and The Central Limit Theorem.

Quote:
3. Disorder

Well that's because Disorder is just a moron RNA chemist's
chiit-chit sessions with llighting bolts.

Quote:
4. Chaos

Well that's because Chaos is just Al Gore's excuse to increase

the US Federal Spending cap.

Quote:
5. Randomness

That's because the only place randomness has ever
existed iin all human history is in the
Dweeb mind of Plato.

Quote:
6. Gravity

Well since Gravity is just an idiot string theorists exucse
to invent an infinite number of non-existent dimensions,
that's obvios since everybody does.

Quote:
7. Heat

Well that's heat is the that which prroves
Black Holes are moron objectoids.

Quote:
8. Coulomb barriers

Since Coulomb barriers are the only way
to build head phones, that's also obvious.
All science PBS wankers, have always
hated Coulomb barriers.

9. Waste

It's already been proven that if you hate waste,
and you don't fraud, you're quite obviously
merely the Mayor of New York, so the only
person who cares is the Mayor of Los Angelos.
