Re: low ionics epoxy
I need to glue some parts (gold etc) in an amperometric cell.
Anyone know of good low ionics epoxies? Or are there better adhesives
Epoxies made for semiconductor packaging must be low-ionic,
so they don't attack the aluminum bond pads. Search for
"glob top" epoxies.
Many silicones are inherently low in ionics. However,
if they contain mineral fillers, they won't be low-ionic.
Some glob-top encapsulants are made from silicone.
The only other adhesive family commonly used for
semiconductor packaging are polyurethanes.
Dymax makes those.
