Qualitative measurement of ion content

Is there any way of measuring ion content (if possible, total ion
contents) qualitatively?
I want a quick and easy method other than ion choromatography.
Thanks in advance.

Some folks use conductivity as a simple measure of "total ionic
content", although it's a little problematic. Probably ok for
a qualitative measure, but definitely not quantitative. |
