Nope. If it were that easy, the national labs would have done it. While
clandestine fission bombs are a real and threatening possibility, a
homemade hydrogen bomb is completely infeasible. While there is more
than enough declassified info for malevolent forces to make a fission
device, little more than a basic concept exists in the public domain
when it comes to H-bombs. Even with the proper info, the requisite
tolerances and precision are beyond most nations, let alone a lone
wolf.

Hello
The basic technolgy involves passing a current through hydrogen. This
newsgroup has contained accounts of people claiming success with only
moderate but attainable currents (1000 amp) and voltages with small tubes of
hydrogen at normal pressures.
Jeol, Zeno, my mad girl friend made them, for sale!
I don't think the technology has reached the fighters in the middle east
yet. The use of the mini-bomb alleged to have been built will change the
balance of power it would mean that tanks and destroyers could not be used.
I have an ambilivant view about Israel, I don't have any idea of a solution.
Islam is realy no different from Judaism or Christianity as they are all
based on the same religious writings.
We are all as equally bad as each other.
Atomic wars are so terrible and they are so easy to make that nobody ever
want ever to use them.
The Israeli's have them but Hesbala do not and those palastinians are badly
equipped and no match for Israel. Israel is believed to have had a normal
bomb since 1968 or so.
I have heard stories of home made atomic bombs using electrical ignition but
I have no idea of any details and I have no idea how to make them.
I have seen experiments in back gardens using a jar or tube of hydrogen at
atmospheric pressure using a small coil or loop of wire passing a current
from a charged capacitor of about 0.1 uF charged to some ordinary voltage
like 1000 volts with a diode and some kind of diac to switch the current on
to the coil. The energy discharged is CV^2/2 so with a capacitor of
1E-13/2 and a voltage of 1000 volts the discharge is 1E6*1E-13/2 = 1E-7/2
Joule if this is passed in 1/10,000 sec then the power is 1E-7*1E4/2 =
1E-3/2. Now half a milliwatt is not enough for anything special to happen.
Like a photographic flash gun.
I've not seen any succesful tests but I've heard reports of success.
Hydrogen is not much good as a nuclear fuel but Lithium is alleged to be
better, hydrogen is the detonator.
The physics is in the public domain and can be bought from Amazon, look
under Thermonuclear reactions and books by Edward Teller.
I've seen several friends killed or maimed recently so I sympathise with
families hurt by war. Hate generates hate. Family wounded polarises people
and class opressive wars generate hate.
Chris.

They are much simpler. Fission bombs are exceedingly complex and difficult
and exedinly expensive.

Nonsense!
Hydrogen bombs cost 40c a megaton.
