Re: discrete maths book (after searching archives)

hey Dave, i searched the whole USENET (i mean google.groups) for
"discrete math rosen, biggs etc. etc." & i got some important advices:
Susanna Epp is veryvery basic.
Rosen is good basic.
Biggs is also good but not for basics.
any comments?

ok
i really appreciate that you helped me & still i want to know one
thing:
"does the above booklist has all bad authors"?
what i mean is reading an online page & reading a hardcopy really make
a bigdifference in learning from the same source (it is my experience
with online & offline books).
i will really be very thankful if you can tell something about hardcopy
list above. no, not all but some of them or point me somewhere.
thanks for your precious time Dave.

discrete maths book (after searching archives)

hai folks,
I am a programmer, or rather learning programming. I am mainly
concerned about programming, algorithms & data structures only. my
maths is weak. 3 months ago I came to feel that maths is nearly an
essential part of CS (computer Science). so i searched the archives @
sci.math & alt.math.undergrad for a discrete maths book. mostly i got
the following:
"Discrete Mathematics with Applications" by Susanna S. Epp
i live in India. this book is not avialable here. since i am jobless i
do not have enough money to buy it from amazon or bookpool etc. would
you please recommend some alternative book. i am providing a list of
discrete mathematics books which are available in India:
** here DM => Discrete Mathematics/Mathematical
"DM Structures" : by Kolman, Ross & Busby
"DM Structures" : by Bernard Kolman
"DM and Its Applications" : by Rosen, Kenneth
"DM" (Schaum's Outline Series) : by Lispchutz
"DM" : by Lipschutz, Lipson, Patil
"DM" : by Xavier, Eugene;
"Elements of DM" : by Liu
"DM" : by Johnsonbaugh
"DM Computer Scientists" : by Truss
"DM with Graph Theory" : by Goodaire, Parmenter
"DM with Graph Theory" : by Goodaire
"DM" : by Biggs, Norman
"DM For Computer Scientists And Mathematicians" : by Mott,
Kandel,Baker, Theodore
"DM Structures With Application to Computer Science" : by
Tremblay, J.P, Manohar
I tried _Concrete Mathematics_ by Knuth et al but oooh.. its faaar
above of my head. i will learn DM as prerequisite to Knuth. also what
exactly is Continuous Mathematics? i did google for it but found
nothing.
thanks
