Hello all. I am in need some info on Self Assembled Monolayers (SAMs).
What I need is hydrophilic terminated SAM that I can apply to directly
apply to a Si or an Oxide surface. Does anyone know of any that exist
and would be commercially available?

How hydrophilic? Is amino good enough, or do you need hydroxyls? For
attaching to oxides, you'll need to hydroxylate the surface as much as
possible and use organosilane precursors. Aminopropyltriethoxysilane
is rotely applied, but only gives ~60 degree water contact angles.
Alkoxysilanes are more water-stable than trichlorosilanes, which
polymerize on contact with moisture. I prefer anhydrous toluene
solvent for all precursors. To get a hydroxyl or carboxylic acid
terminated organosilane SAM, you need to oxidize a vinyl group after
attachment to the surface, and it doesn't work so well.

See the catalogues of companies like United Chemical Technologies,
Gelest, and Lancaster Synthesis.
