I just read the FAQ on the fusion reactions in the sun. I noticed that
there was no p+p or p+n reactions. Is this an oversight or do these
reactions not exist? If they do not exist, how did the first star ignite
(i.e. how did the first significant amount of D form in order to ignite the
star)?

(Take the next question with a big grain of salt) Could this be a portion
of dark matter, i.e. regions of space that are yet to develop D, therefore
stars cannot ignite?
