I am looking for a viscosity correlation to estimate viscosities of
light hydrocarbons gasses. I have read that the Ely / Hanley method is
a generally accepted one - but can't find any details on it at all
(except that its an EOS / corresponding states method).

Does anyone have any details on how to implement it?

Thanks!

google: Ely Hanley viscosity

This one gives equations:

I believe there is a section describing this method in the latest (5th)
edition of "The Properties of Gases and Liquids".

If you are able to spend a little money, the method is implemented in
this database:
http://www.nist.gov/srd/nist4.htm
If you look at the Users Guide linked on that page, it has a References
section giving the literature references for the method.
If you are limited to very light hydrocarbons (like natural gas), it
might be preferable to use the related models employed in this
database:
http://www.nist.gov/srd/nist23.htm
Again, the linked Users Guide tells about the correlations used and
gives references.

A (belated) thanks to you both.

I found a correlation in Perrys' that was easy to implement and gives
acceptable accuracy.
