Builting a experimental fusion Tokomak at home
|
|
|
Is it possible to built a small scale experimental fusion tokomak at home ?
(say one meter diameter)
How much current do I need to run it into the magnet coil?
The current I can get from the ac power suplly is only 60A 230V.
with a step down transformer, maybe I can get 5000A?
If use capacitor bank, will that be very expensive? |

My god! I have never heard this idea in anothere place, good idea!
But i'm afraid it is impossible.
now we can't get power from tokomak. |

Tell you what, after I get my basment atomic pile to power and heat my
home, I'll come back to discuss this with you. :-)

A small-scale tokomak is possible, but it would be far out of the price
range of most individuals. Additionally, with all the support equipment
required, the machine does not scale down well, and you'd be hard
pressed to get it to work.
As I've posted many times though, it is quite possible to create
nuclear fusion reactions with a homemade device. Do a Google search on
"homemade nuclear fusion" and "Farnsworth Fusor." |

My reactor is still waiting for fuel, they won't sell it to me because of
the anti-terrorist laws about having nuclear fuels in the home it is most
unjust, I was going to sell then at tooting market for £100 pounds. That is
a pound a watt. Never runs out in a lifetime.
My last market stall they just pointed and laughed.
Might try a boot sale but the £40 up front cost is a bit high.
