Dear all,

I am seeking some guidance regarding the acquisition of ductless
fumehoods:

Are they suitable for any type of chemistry (we do a lot of acid
digestion chemistry involving boiling nitric and sulfuric acids)?
How do they compete with classic fumehoods (i.e. with a duct) in terms
of performance?
Finally, could anyone suggest a reliable make of ductless fumehood?

Thank you for your time,

Jean

The basic fume cupboard is the same, one sucks out of the building the other
sucks out and passes the air through a carbon filter to take out vapours,
they are OK where the amount of vapours are lowish. For your sort of
chemisty, I would suggest they are not suitable.
