Rankine cycle engines
|
|
|
Hello,
Does anyone know where I can get very rough capital cost estimates for:
250 kW
1 MW
10 MW
50 MW
100 MW
steam and organic (non-steam) Rankine cycle engines?
Thanks,

$100/kW?
Anything big will probably be like the expensive turbines they use in
nuclear power plants where condensate is drawn off each stage.

Is GE the typical manufacturer of such engines (in the US)?

Maybe Westinghouse and Babcox and Wilcox as well.
They are trying to sell the machines and will give anyone a quote.
It's not like it's top secret and will demand a body cavity search like
they do when you try to download heat transfer software.
