FFTW understanding

Hello,
I want to use the real2real fftw (www.ffftw.org) transformations for an
odd function (sine transform). Because I am not a mathematician I do
not understand the difference between the special types DST-I to
DST-IV.
My situation is as following: I need to transform a function f with
f(r=0)=0. If I use for instance RODFT10 have I to shift my function by
using f(r)-> f(r-0.5) and transform it. What I am getting then,
f(k-0.5).
Perhaps I am a little bit confused here.
