Energy (not pollution) and global warming.

I'm new here so if I'm in the wrong group please let me know and let me
know the right one.
I have not so much a new theory as a question:
Whenever any energy is used it is of course converted into heat. This
is true whether the source of the energy is "green" or polluting. So
apparently the amount of heat around is continually increasing.
Does anyone know whether any research has been done into the effects of
this? Is this heat making any contribution to global warming?

Heat and Energy in this context is being refered to as an immaterial |
substance which mathematicians can manipulate.
Why not say that the universe isn`t getting hotter but is creating matter
with it?
