It's the Equivalence Principle itself that needs change.
Take the rate out of the Equivalence Principle.
Just look at weight in gravity. It reveals timeless
acceleration. Rate must be removed. It doesn't apply.
There is no rate because there is no motion.

Removing rate generalizes the Equivalence Principle.
There is no time variable in weight for an object which is not moving
in a gravity field. The limit in acceleration for this modified EP is
that fundamental quantity we know of as the speed of light, c.

Weight(gravity) is the acceleration - defined by the EP - multiplied by
mass.
Acceleration through space requires a rate.
With rate acceleration could go infinite.
But without it acceleration is limited.
That limits a weight in gravity for a given mass.

Without time you have a timeless acceleration for the
Equivalence Principle. The strength of gravity as weight is limited by
a generalized Equivalence Principle; a generalized acceleration
equivalence.

Take the rate out of the equivalnce principle.
That is gravity's weight.

Just one more thing, the Equivalence Principle, that our local troll
*fails* to understand.

Take the rate out of the Equivalence Principle.
